Well, I don’t know about you but I just can’t believe how fast this year is going…..

I just get used to writing 2009 and it’s now time to start thinking about Christmas again….

And as it gets closer to the end of 2009 I start thinking about goals for 2010.

I’m very much looking forward to 2010 (twenty ten as they call it)….It’s in fact the year that I start being a FULL TIME internet marketer at home….

Yes, I will officially become one of those internet marketers who really is doing at at home in her PJs 

That’s a very exciting thought for me, no more of those daily train rides to and from work, no more getting up at 5am to do my internet marketing — a lot more leisure and being more productive than I’ve been in the last year or so….

It’s a Goal I hope all of you can achieve also one day….I’m very very grateful to have been giving this gift and I’m never going to take it foregranted.

There’s a lot happening in these last few months so it’s going to be very very busy in the lead up but well worth it.

Don’t Give Up Too Soon

As you may or may not be aware, I gave up many years ago.  I decided to give internet marketing a second go and as a result I’m making over $20,000.00 per month as an internet marketer.

….Imagine if I’d given up and left it?

….Yeah, I can imagine it actually.  I’d be doing the same kind of grindstone in the rat race for the next 20 years (not an appealing thought).

Just because you can’t see the results that you’re after doesn’t mean that things aren’t happening behind the scene….

….A funny thing happens when it starts working….a little snowball starts rolling down the hill and starts building so much momentum that it just becomes unstoppable.  The same thing can happen with your internet marketing….

You can’t really see anything happening but it is, just below the surface.  So believe in yourself and that you can do this and that you deserve it and start doing what you need to do to make it so!

How to Use Forums to Boost Your Internet Marketing Business

If you’re looking to make money with Internet marketing then there are many things that you have to do well. If you’re looking to really make your Internet Marketing business a success then you should be participating on forums. Here’s how to use forums to boost your Internet Marketing business.

Everything In Life Starts With A Thought….

Nothing can
become a reality without first being a thought in
somebody’s mind. Since everything begins with a thought,
don’t you think the Law of attraction can actually work for
you?

If you think about it, a thought attracts other similar
thoughts. If you have positive thoughts about what you can
achieve, and your thoughts will then attract other similar
thoughts to help you to accomplish what you want.

If you hang out with certain people that are negative, then
you attract other people who are negative. If you are
negative, you will attract people to your life that are
negative. Therefore, in turn, if you are a positive person,
you will attract positive people to your life.

So since all of this is true, wouldn’t it also be true that
if you have positive thoughts about what you want, that you
will attract the things you want into your life?

If you want your children to behave nicely, then behave
nicely towards them. Say you want your child to become a
more positive person. What would you need to do in order to
help them become a more positive person?

Do you think if
you put out positive thoughts and feelings, the Law of
attraction would help deliver those positive thoughts to
your child? This is how it works with almost everything in
the Law of attraction.

You put out positive thoughts about what you want, combined
with a strong desire, a strong emotional charge, and are
willing to accept it when it comes, and the Law of
attraction will bring you whatever it is you want.

These things may not happen overnight, but hold onto your
thoughts long enough and in time, what you want will
manifest itself into reality. It is possible with the law
of attraction to think yourself into having things like a
new home, happiness, meaningful relationships, a successful
life and whatever else you want.

All you need to do is make sure that your thoughts are
positive and are focused and emotionally charged on what
you want and the Law of attraction will do the work for you
and bring what you want into your life.

Well, I hope you feel inspired to try just that little bit harder in the next few weeks.  I truly believe the universe is waiting to give you what you really want….you just have to show it precisely what it is that you’re after.

Hello and welcome to issue 17 of the jumbo 60 minute affiliate newsletter

It’s great to have you visit.  I hope you enjoy reading my newsletter as much as I enjoy sharing it with you. 

Gosh, I’ve woken up today to the news of two icons passing away.

Farrah Fawcett – wow, at 62 years of age we’ve lost her to cancer.  Boy did I love Charlies Angels when I was a teenager.  So much so that I decided that I wanted to become a private investigator.  My dad even had cards printed out in my name saying I was a PI.  What a rather silly thought really.  I mean in every episode they avoid death by their hair bangs but it’s funny what impresses on us.  They were beautiful, glamorous, men adored them – sounded good to me at that stage LOL.

The saddest thing about Farraw is the fact that she felt so unattractive in herself that she succumbed to so much plastic surgery.  Why?  She was stunningly beautiful as she was.  Take a peak at Christie Brinkley in her 50s and she pretty much looks naturally just like she did in Lampoon Vacation movies.  I’m also a massive fan of Ryan O’neil’s after falling in love with him watching Love Story many many years ago….and I only read yesterday that after nearly 30 years on and off Farrah finally agreed to marry him – however didn’t get the chance.

And the next icon – Michael Jackson….Wow, on the eve of his massive world tour and come back and at only 50 years of age.  Gosh there are more images there of me singing in front of the mirror, holding up a hairbrush as a microphone, singing to Can’t Stop Till You Get Enough.  Another one who felt so unnattractive that he had so much plastic surgery that he was completely unrecognisable and lost his facial features completely.  Thriller in my eyes will always go down as the best album in music history.  If only he had thought that he was good enough just the way that he was without having to succumb to plastic surgery also.  Very sad.  One wonders what will happen to his three children now…..gosh you can just imagine all the skeletons coming out of the closet now….

Anyway for what it’s worth they were both legends in their own time in their own way and both had an affect on me as I’m sure millions of others…they will be missed…i send prayers out to their friends and loved ones.

Now back to the nuts and bolts….

I’ve had an incredible four weeks off at home.  Wow, it was one of the smartest yet most impulsive decisions I’ve ever made.  I needed it, my soul needed it, my family needed it.  I listened to some not so crazy voices in my head and followed through with what they suggested and I’m very glad that I did.  I’ve not achieved nearly as much as I hoped I would have with the tasks that I’d assigned myself but this was my time to be kind to myself and manage just as much as I could and that’s fine with me.

I’ll miss my family when I go back to my “day job” and hopefully they’ll miss me.  I’ll have the opportunity to catch up again with many dear friends who I’ve had half of my life and I’m looking forward to that.

It’s also been a time for me to reassess life in general, the plans we make, the expectations we place on ourselves, goals, you name it….and whats important in life – and by that I mean my life in general.

For me it’s ultimately quality of life first and then financial security.  And 2010 is when I hope to put that all into practice, I’ll keep you posted.

I had quite a disagreement via email this past week with a program owner that I actively promote not in the IM niche.  initially when I started promoting the program it linked to the course directly that I was promoting however in the past year he changed it so that it now linked to a free membership site.  After two weeks of emails asking him to find out what my link would be to the course page and being told many many times by him that it was a html issue and it it was completely up to figure it out – I gave up.  Firstly, I don’t know what he is using to create his affiliate links so I can’t afford to take a stab in the dark and make one up and HOPE that my sale gets tracked.  Secondly, I am HIS affiliate and it is HIS job as the program owner to find that out for me. Instead of complaining how he outsources all this stuff he should say I’ll shoot a quick email through and find out for you and then he could share the whole information with everyone.  I’m far from impressed to say the least and am very disappointed in this kind of behaviour.

The Squidoo Slap – affecting affiliate marketers world wide

I sent a brief email out about this….Squidoo as is its right has changed its policy which is affecting affiliate marketers worldwide.  I guess we can thank spammers primarily for that.  Unfortunately once something is found to be successful people take advantage and then make it difficult for everyone.

But there’s a lesson to be learnt here.

Ultimately when you are relying on driving traffic or making sales from sites that you have no control over your earning potential is always greatly at risk.  For long term financial security it is always better to be prepared to take a bit of a longer road but more secure road by building your own websites than relying primarily on advertising on sites that you have no control over.

Will other sites follow suit?  Who knows…just be wary.

HINT:  If you have squidoo lenses I’d recommend that you go in and save your content from each one in case they get locked – you won’t get a second chance. once that happens the content and all your hard work is lost forever. 

Also, if you have a lot of ezine articles linking to squidoo lenses you may want to look at adding your content elsewhere so that if your lenses do get locked your resource boxes won’t go to a dead link.

Are You Losing Worldwide Customers?

This is something that I came to the realisation recently.  Most internet marketers target english speakers but how many people are we missing out worldwide.

I recently had one of my web pages translated into spanish as the affiliate program that I’m promoting is targeting spanish speakers as well.  It will be interesting to see how that goes….but a very clever tactic on the part of the webmaster.

As a product owner, how many customers are we losing because we are only focusing on english speakers?

Gosh, maybe hundreds of thousands, millions….

Check out this link – google translate….you can have pages and even documents translated from english to other languages and vice versa….

Something else that was interesting was that by using google content network and paying very low bids for spanish keywords I was able to get 150 visitors a day to the spanish landing page for $10…..not bad if I say so myself.

How To Get The Most Out Of Your Article Marketing

Writing articles to promote your online business is a great marketing technique. It is s free and can be very effective. However, the majority of Internet Marketers don’t use their articles to the fullest extent. Here are 3 more marketing tactics you can use with every single article you write.

Obviously your #1 use for an article is to post it online and get people to view that article. This should always be your first priority. And every article you write should include keywords so that the article will rank well with the search engines. However, there are a few other things you can accomplish with every article you write. You can get a lot more content on the Internet from every single article you write.

The first method you should use to get the most out of your article marketing is to make a video based on the article. All you have to do is show one scene while you read the article. A basic video with you simply reading the article will get views and will successfully market your business.

Another way to get the most out of your article marketing is to build social networking pages around each article. Plug the article into a social networking page and then spend a few minutes building around that article. Within less than a half hour, you will have a social networking page up and running. This will be yet another way for you to market your business online.

Finally, to get the most out of your article marketing you can also turn every article you write into a blog post. You should have a blog in every niche that your business deals in. In fact, you might want to have a few blogs for each niche depending on how big the niche is. Then when you write an article, post it as a blog post as well. Just make sure you change the title and you change some other words and sentences in the blog post. This will make it slightly unique.

There you have 3 additional  marketing techniques to help you get the most out of article marketing. You should make a video, a social networking page, and a blog entry based on every article you write. Then with less than an hour additional time invested, you will have 3 times the amount of content on the Internet. This will result in more publicity for your online business.

How To Boost Your Business With Twitter

There are an endless amount of free online marketing opportunities for your business. One of the best ways is using a social networking site called Twitter. Here are 5 tips that will help boost your business with Twitter.

It is really easy to sign-up for Twitter. All you do is go to Twitter.com and then follow the directions. Once you are signed up then you can begin to tweet. A tweet is a short message (140 characters or less) that you type in a little box and then anyone who is following you will see it. You can tweet about anything that is on your mind. But you would want to make sure you always keep in mind the following 5 tips for how to boost your business with Twitter.

The first tip is to make sure you fill out all the information in your profile. This will help people get to know about you and/or your business. It is especially important that you put a link to your site in your profile.

The second tip to boost your business with Twitter is to put a unique background on your account. This will help you stand out from the rest of the crowd on Twitter. It will also help your overall brand, especially if you have a background that is your logo or something else that is associated with your brand.

Another great tip is to put your logo in the picture on your profile. If you are a sole proprietor then you might consider putting a picture of yourself on your Twitter page. Whichever fits your overall brand better is what you should use.

To boost your business with Twitter you also want to put your Twitter ID on your business cards, email signature, and any other place where people can see it. This will help people find you and it will help start a dialogue between you and potential customers.

THE BEST AND WORST THING THAT HAPPENED TO ME IN NOVEMBER 2008

By far the best thing that has happened to me this month has been the launch of my Blog Inferno System.  It’s been three months in the making and a lot of hard work.  And I’ve endeavoured to do all that I possibly can to make it the most comprehensive niche blogging system around – at any rate, Firepow’s Andrew Hansen seems to think so :O)

The worst part about creating a product and launching it is the other things that you miss – boy have i MISSED blogging, you have no idea…I’ve had to pretty much put most things on hold while I focussed on Blog Inferno and I had no idea how much I would miss it.

Needless to say I’m now raring to go back into my niche blogging hard core.

Now I’m going to focus a lot here in this issue on customer service because get this wrong even as an affiliate then you could be losing your hard earned commission cheques to people who haven’t earnt them.

This is based on experiences that I went through this past month.

First incident – an experience on Ebay.

Now within the last couple of months I had looked at Ebay for a headset that simply had a bigger padding around the area where the headset sits on the ears – as I find the smaller ones quite painful if you have to use them for an extended period.

Now I found only a couple on Ebay and purched one at a reasonable price – no problem with the transaction so far.

Now I received this item relatively quickly, however, it didn’t work.  So I contacted the seller and he sent me a replacement straight away – GOOD customer service.

At this stage I still had the original faulty product.

Now the second headset also did not work and I contacted the seller again.

I was told that I could ONLY get a full refund of the purchase price and the shipping that I had already paid for the product IF at my own expense I now sent TWO faulty products back.

Now obviously the money was not an issue at all.  It was the principle of the thing.

As the customer I truly did not believe that I should have to be out of pocket for any part of this transaction after receiving two faulty products from the same seller and I was determined to stick to my guns on this one – even if it meant NOT getting a refund.

I informed the seller of my concerns and was then ignored for a week.

I then issued a dispute at Ebay about this and was also ignored by the seller through this avenue.

I then escalated it to a Paypal claim.  Now unfortunately Paypal didn’t agree with me and determined that they would issue a full refund provided that I now sent back both products in their original packaging and faulty condition at my own expense.

So what did I do?

Well, I swore under my breath, I have to confess, and then promptly threw both products into the bin – where they belonged – I refused to spend half an hour in my lunch hour to go to the post office and then pay $10 or more for shipping the product back when I had paid about $20 for the product initially.

Then I went to Ebay to post my feedback.  After much thought and consideration I decided to leave negative feedback because while his INITIAL customer service was very good ultimately it was EXTREMELY POOR and I am a firm believer that the customer is always right.

So I simply left bad feedback for the seller and said that he had refused to give me a refund unless I returned his faulty products at my own expense – the truth.

Funnily, the next day I received an email from him pleading with me to reconsider this negative feedback as he thought that the matter had been resolved in a way I was happy with – HUH????

I ignored him.  And his retaliation was leaving feedback for me – sellers can’t leave bad feedback now as a result of buyers leaving feedback in the past and getting retaliatory feedback as a result – so his feedback was Seller Aware In Big Capitals – Buyer Refused Refund.

Very poor behaviour and judgment in my opinion and really not warranted in the circumstances.  I leave it to God and Karma to judge that issue.

POOR Customer Service Incident Number 2 – This one only happened recently.  yesterday I had decided to take a seven day $1 trial of some program online – which would result in joining a monthly membership fee if I did not cancel the trial membership promptly enough.

It also offered a choice of three free software programs to try which also then upgraded to a purchase of some kind.

Now I inspected what was on offer and really didn’t find it very valuable to what I was looking for and I went to the original email that I had received which said to cancel this transaction simply reply to this email.

I did this in a very polite manner only to find the next morning an email which stated to cancel the membership I had to call a number oversaes.

Well, you can imagine the return email I sent to this response.  Firstly, I live in Australia as you probably know and I am not making an international call to anyone to cancel a subscription while they try and push another hard sell on me.

Second, I had followed the intructions in the letter and it should have cancelled the membership, no questions asked.

VERY POOR customer service and support.  After a flurry of emails it was cancelled as it should have been first time around.

Here’s where people sometimes lack foresight.

Firstly, the Ebay seller was a power seller with about 10,000 transactions A MONTH>  Obviously he is making a lot of money and yes I am only ONE customer out of 10,000 people however in my philosophy you treat your customers like gold because without them you could end up in dire straits.

Secondly, word of mouth is everything nowadays and people frequently look for reviews on products and of people online.  People are much more prone to complain about something or someone they don’t like to fifty people than to share one compliment with one person.

Thirdly, I truly believe what you give out to the universe you get back.  That’s certainly my hope in some situations.  Let’s take the example of child support.  Now in my personal circumstance I was a single mother for four years before I remarried.  My first husband and I separated a long time ago, throughout this time there have been constant battles over child support and his ultimate desire not to pay anything.

Now while in the past I really did need that money to help raise our two children I don’t now and I am incredibly grateful for that. 

However, it is the principle of the thing.  Only recently I had a phone call from the agency stating that he has applied to have his child support reduced to the bare minimum $25 a month for two kids on the basis of his income.

This week I received a letter stating his income is zero and he only has to pay $25 a month for years to come – and in the same breath he has told the mother of his other child that in the next couple of years he’s going to be making a lot of money.

Basically he is started another new business venture and is claiming he has no money while he drives around in a 4WD and is dripping in gold jewellery.

At any rate, I wait for karma in that one too.  Because it’s the principle of the thing – I’m big on principles and morals as you can tell.

Tips For Maintaining A Successful Blog

Creating a blog is relatively simply. However, maintaining a successful blog is a far more difficult process. This is because there are so many different factors which can contribute to the success of a blog.

Posting New Blog Entries Regularly

The importance of posting new blog entries on a regular basis cannot be underestimated. This is so important because regular postings offer dedicated blog visitors an incentive to keep returning to the blog. Readers may visit a blog originally by chance but become committed to returning to the blog regularly based on the content which is provided on a regular basis. If the blogger allows the blog to become stagnant, the readers do not have motivation to keep coming back to the blog.

The length as well as the depth of a blog post can vary considerably based on the subject of the blog and the expectations of the target audience. However, in many cases even a relatively short blog entry offering only a small amount of information may be enough to keep readers interested. This can be useful when the blogger is unable to provide in depth posts but in the long run, blog readers are looking for a certain degree of sustenance and will likely expect the blog to be updated with new posts regularly.

Successful bloggers should also be adept at understanding the blog audience. Most successful blogs focus on a rather exclusive niche which draws a unique set of visitors.

This is important because some blog readers may enjoy lengthy pieces while others may prefer posts which are brief and to the point. Still other blog visitors may prefer to have posts provided as bulleted points in an easy to read manner. Providing the information in a way in which the visitors can process the information easily is as important as providing quality information.

Evaluating Changes to the Blog

Finally, all successful bloggers know how to make changes to the blog carefully and evaluate the effects these changes have on blog traffic. This is critical because a blog which is already successful can be doomed to failure if the blogger makes a change which is not appreciated by the dedicated visitors and does not address the concerns of the readers.

To avoid this potential problem bloggers should be careful to only make one change at a time and to allow ample time to evaluate the effect the change has on website traffic as well as the comments from readers before deciding whether to reverse the change or make additional changes.

Similarly a blog which is looking to increase website traffic can run into problems if they make too many changes and do not evaluate how these changes are affecting the blog’s traffic. A better strategy would be to make small changes one at a time and evaluate the effect of the change carefully before making more changes. This will help guide the blogger to produce a successful blog.

Finding Blogging Career Opportunities

Many freelance writers are beginning to find blogging is one of the newest career opportunities available to them.

Although blogging career opportunities are becoming increasingly popular, many writers are not aware of how to find these wonderful opportunities.

These career opportunities may be offered as ghost writing positions or as positions offering a byline to the writer and finding these blogging opportunities is often very similar to finding any other career opportunities for writers.

Companies seeking a blogger may post the job opening in the same manner in which they would post other openings with the company such as accounting positions or administrative positions.

There are many benefits to pursuing a career in blogging. Perhaps one of the most alluring benefits to a career in blogging is the work can typically be done as a telecommute position. This is because as long as the blogger has access to the software necessary to write and upload a blog, there is no need for the blogger to perform the work from a specific location.

This means the blogger can reside virtually anywhere in the world and can likely perform the necessary work from his own home. However, not all blogging positions are telecommute positions. Some companies may require bloggers to perform the work onsite as a matter of personal preference.

Finding Time to Blog

One of the problems which many bloggers face is finding the time to blog. This is especially difficult if the blogger maintains several blogs or if the blogger maintains a current events blog in which posts must be timely in order to be relevant and of interest to the readers.

Writing blog posts in batches and scheduling them to publish as needed is one way to deal with managing several blogs.

However, writers of blogs related to current events must take special care to budget their time wisely to ensure they are publishing topical blog posts. One way this can be accomplished is by setting aside time daily to reading current events to derive inspiration and then scheduling time after that to write and publish the blog. For example a blogger with a current events blog might choose to review the previous day’s news the first thing in the morning to ensure they are reviewing all of the relevant news from the previous day before writing the blog post.
