I have to say that my month of July has been really good for me.  I’ve done a lot of learning, tried a lot of new things plus have had some really great light bulb moments too.


As I always recommend, I keep a diary for my internet marketing and I write in it daily, things I need to do (and cross it off when completed), things I’ve done (so I can monitor results with it) and general brainstorming.



Then usually at the end of the month I read my diary for the whole month to remind myself of things and check that I’ve done as much as I should have.

It’s been a bit of an adjustment going back to my day job.  I was going to the gym in the morning before work but I found that that was cutting into too much of my internet marketing time before my kids woke up so I’ve changed the gym to evenings….i get up around 5am to do internet marketing and then off to work etc for the usual grind.

   


I’ve made a commitment to myself to work hard for the balance of this year because next year I’ll be cutting down my “work” to one day a week and so I want to build up my income and my foundations as much as possible in the latter half of this year (especially as some of you may be aware that the first half of the year has been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster for myself).  Ultimately I don’t need the income of working one day a week in my day job…that’s not the reason i’m still doing that. 

The reason that I am is that I’ve got friends there that I’ve known for more than 20 years of my life and I would miss them all a great deal if I didn’t see them every week.  They’ve been a great support network for me and are greatly appreciated.

When you’re selling a product online, there is nothing as important as your sales copy. Effective sales copy will convert readers to customers. Effective sales copy will turn prospects into paying
customers. Here are 5 great tips to write sales copy that converts.

Hook with the Headline

The headline is the first part of a sales letter that potential readers will see. It will determine whether the potential customer keeps reading your copy or if they simply click away. So your
headline needs to hook the reader. Your headline has to peak the reader’s interest and then make the reader start reading your copy.  The best way to do this is by including your best benefit in the headline.

Make a Personal Connection

At some point during your sales copy you have to establish a personal connection with the reader. This should happen as soon as possible. In fact, it can start happening in the headline.

Include a Personal Story

A great way to make a connection with the reader is by writing a personal story in your sales copy. Not only will this make a personal connection but it will also keep the reader’s attention
and it will help the reader trust you. Trust is very important if the potential customer is going to become a paying customer.

Be Big on Benefits

Another great tip for how to write sales copy that converts is to include a lot of benefits. This means you tell the reader how their life (or business) can become better with your product. So make sure you write benefits for the reader and not just features of the product. For example, instead of saying an exercise program will speed up the metabolism, say that it will burn more calories that will result in weight being lost every single day.

Guarantee What You Sell

Finally, to write sales copy that converts, you always want to include a guarantee. The most common guarantee is a no questions asked 30 day money back guarantee. If the customer wants their money back, you give it to them. A guarantee gives the potential customer peace of mind. It helps to remove any type of hesitation to not buying the product.

Did I Discover A Secret Page Rank Tip This Week Quite By Accident??


Now this is very very interesting.  I found something out this week quite by accident.  I actually bought an established website recently.  That was a great deal but what was even more interesting was the page rank for the site.

This site was only a few months old, yet it had a page rank of 3.  All the page rank checking websites verified it.
