THE BEST AND WORST THING THAT HAPPENED TO ME THIS MONTH

The best thing by far has been hearing about the sales of some of my Firepow students have achieved in the last few weeks. Some of these people have been trying for years to make their first sale — and have now achieved it.

Your first sale is always the hardest…once you’ve reached that first step it should never be that difficult again.

My biggest disappointment this month was Brute Force Seo. I have cancelled my subscription today and if you have not gotten your head around it at this stage then I recommend you do so also.

As happens so often with these big “guru launches” is that products are launched without the right tutorials, and without the complete newbie or inexperienced marketers in mind.

Unfortunately as great as this software probably is and the quality products that pete puts together, I honest feel that he lacked some of this insight. I spent hours trying to get my first project up and running only to find that after getting to almost the end that I was having trouble with one little step in the process – and when days later I finally  figured out what that was I went to amend it and my project hadn’t been saved.

Having a seven day $1 trial is a great thing if you can get your head around it in that time — but most people won’t. Also one part of the module was not complete – the social bookmarking side of things – and for a $97 monthly fee to release it that way – well, it leaves a bit to be desired.

How To Increase Your Banner Clickthroughs

While text linking is one of the preferred options for promoting affiliate programs and products banner ads are still effectively, especially when used in a blog sidebar.

I just opened our sydney morning herald website and the first news story was shocking

"IN A shock move, central banks around the world launched co-ordinated interest rate cuts last night in an attempt to counter the global financial crisis as Britain pumped $1.3 trillion into its ailing bank system."

"The move came as the International Monetary Fund warned there is a better than even chance the global economy will be in recession by Christmas."

"It said the world faces its most serious financial shock since the Great Depression because the recession would coincide with the bursting of housing bubbles in many advanced economies."

"The IMF calculated there was a 60 per cent chance of a global recession in the next three months, based on a number of leading indicators on commodity prices, US sharemarket returns and US industrial production.

The report identified Australia as one of just three countries to have experienced the "largest unexplained increases in house prices".

In the past decade, Australian house prices had become overvalued by more than 20 per cent, the IMF said in its latest World Economic Outlook released overnight in Washington."

"Activity in Australia was likely to be held up by commodity prices. In the absence of another big downgrading of growth prospects, commodity prices were projected to stay high, the IMF said. The price of oil was expected to average about $100 a barrel next year.

The Treasurer, Wayne Swan, who flew to Washington last night to attend meetings of the IMF and World Bank, said the world was facing "one of the most significant upheavals in financial markets in recent history".

Here’s my 2 cents worth:

Other than the dire prediction of a world depression and the
expectation that housing prices in Australia will slump by 25 percent – this is something that I have actually predicted for a long time because we are the most expensive country to buy a house in and our income levels don’t reflect that – there is the expectation of bankrupticies, job losses, mortgage possessions etc

These are all very realistic, I have to say.

That means a lot of people will have their job security affected
in some way.

All I can say is if you’ve ever thought of creating your own online business to supplement your day job income or to replace it altogether — NOW is the time to make that commitment…for yourself and your loved ones. 

The future over the next 18 months looks bleak – creating an online passive income can help you through those times if you are committed and persistent – and don’t expect to get rich overnight for doing nothing.
