Welcome to issue 10 of the 60 Minute Affiliate Newsletter

Firstly, I’d like to thank everyone who has taken the time to answer my survey questions regarding what you’d like to see in version 2.  I’m working hard trying to create a free affiliate guide that will answer most of your questions.

The best thing that happened to me in the past month?

Well, that would be two things really.  Firstly, I had my largest “bum” day yesterday – $875.00.  I’m extremely grateful for that.

Second, I created a new blog this week that made page 1 of google for the name of the product within 4 hours – and made its first sale within 24 hours. 

I’ve also coached some people recently to achieve some great results also.  It’s very fulfilling receiving their emails of results they’ve achieved and to help them create an income online…in small steps. 

It’s always a good idea to create some small goals for yourself along the way ie your first goal may be $500 a month, then once you’ve reached that you change your goal target in $500 increments.  It seems much more reachable than having a goal of $5000 per month from the word go.

The worst thing that happened to me in the past month?

That would have to be having the flu for 7 days.  I’m usually fortunate enough to not get very sick OR if I do I get over it very quickly but this wasn’t the case but all is well now :O)

Okay, if you submit your articles to Ezine Articles then you’re probably aware that when you view on an article in EA at the end of the article there are recent articles on the topic, most viewed articles on the topic and most published articles on the topic in the last 90 days.

Ultimately you want YOUR articles to appear in the most viewed category for this reason.  Every time someone views any article relevant to your niche there will be a link to your article at the end of theirs.

This can create massive exposure for you and your articles.  Ultimately the more views your articles get the more potential sales you can get from your website or blog.

How can you get more views to your articles:

1.  If you have a list related to that niche then send them a broadcast message linking to your article url.

2.  Do some posts in relevant forums and in your signature link to your brand new article url.

3.  Go to Yahoo Answers and answer recent questions on your niche and link to your article url in the spot where you can fill in the url that helped you with that information.

How To Increase The Chance Of A Sale On Your Site Through Simple Keyword Selection

One of the main ways to get traffic to your site is through keyword selection.  If your goal is to create income through Google adsense then you can pretty much put whatever keywords you want on your site – the more expensive ones the better – however if you are trying to make a SALE from your site you need to tackle things a little differently.

If you are promoting a particular product on your site then the best keywords that your site should be based on are related to the product in question.

For this reason you should be focussing on keywords where people aren’t looking for information but are wanting to make a buying decision – they just need to be coerced a little to part with their hard-earned cash.

Ultimately you don’t want to target your site on any keyword phrases that have the word free in it – ultimately these people are not looking to buy something.

purchase
download (though sometimes these could be freebie seekers)
try
cheap

Ideally each site you create is a business on its own and you would want to create 10-20 pages or blog posts targeting desperate buyers in your niche market.

HINT:  One of the reasons I particularly like blogs is how easy it is to insert an optin form on every blog post.  That way if your site has 100 or more blog posts then your optin form will appear on every page of your site and greatly increase your chance of building a list quickly.

All you need to do is go to design/presentation and click on widgets and then look down the left for the text widget.  Click on that and insert a title – make it sound very compelling – and then insert your aweber inline webform code.  I’ve done it on this site and it’s visible on every page and post of this site.

That way you have the potential of adding someone new to your list from every page of your site.

Fast Easy Steps For Finding A Niche You Can Profit From

Niche research is something that a lot of people struggle with and understandably so.  Sometimes it’s hit and miss and sometimes you hit gold. More than anything else it is very important that you actually take action and do something.

It is far better to have tried and not have one site work out than to do nothing at all.

There are three questions you should ask when conducting your niche research.

The first question is are people searching for this topic?

The second question is what is the problem that these people have in common?

The third question is are people actually paying to solve this problem?

If you answer yes to these questions then you move on to these four steps.  This is not a hard and fast rule however it may make your chance of success even higher if these four criteria are met.

Firstly, there are 8-10 adwords advertisers on the right of the page for relevant keywords.

Secondly, there are 2-4 products in the clickbank marketplace relevant to this niche.  Competition is good.  It means that more likely than not people are making money in this niche.

Thirdly, there are a good number of searches every month.

Fourthly, there are online and offline magazines created on the topic also.

If you’re looking into promoting clickbank products then you could either use CBEnginePro which is an inexpensive monthly membership or Wealthy Affiliate University to find out what the latest movers and shakers are for this month. 

If you find these four criteria filled then add this product to your list.  Ideally when looking at product selection it’s a good idea to research a number  of products. 

This is particularly useful if one day – as has happened to me – a product has stopped being created but I am not wasting my site and my traffic coming to that site; I can simply recommend and insert ANOTHER product.

5.  The Rich Jerk (yes an oldie but still a good seller).
